Donald Trump Shares a Post With Two-Word Remark About Joe Biden After His Can.cer Diagnosis

Days after news broke of former President Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis, President Donald Trump broke his silence — but in a way few expected. A recent repost on Trump’s Truth Social account has sparked intense reaction and scrutiny online.

On May 26, 2025, Trump reshared a post from conservative commentator DC_Draino, originally posted on X on May 21. The message accused Biden and his administration of severe wrongdoing, reading: “They stole the 2020 election and hijacked the country using a decrepit corpse as a frontman. They used an autopen to start wars, steal from our treasury, and pardon their friends. Arrest those responsible and charge them with TREASON.”

Trump added no comment of his own, but the repost’s timing — following reports of Biden’s cancer diagnosis — ignited controversy across social media platforms.

DC_Draino later highlighted Trump’s action by resharing reactions from other conservative figures on X, including Karli Bonne and Catturd, both applauding Trump’s repost.

Public opinion was deeply divided. On Facebook, some defended Trump: “So, what! President Trump has been called everything under the sun.” Others were outraged: “OMG this was so uncalled for,” and “How is this unprofessional behavior continued to be tolerated?! Unreal!”

Instagram reactions were more concise but no less critical. One user commented, “Sad.” Another wrote, “Disrespectful,” while a third added, “Unclassy!”

On X, many defended Trump’s message. One user wrote, “Donald Trump doesn’t lie. When he says something, he does it.” Another echoed, “He’s spot on.” A third urged action: “Don’t just repost it. Get started investigating these folks and rounding them up!”

The controversy came just a week after Trump had shared a more sympathetic message. On May 19, he posted on Truth Social: “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

But by May 21, Trump had shifted tone dramatically, launching a sharp criticism of Biden’s presidency and cognitive state:

“Joe Biden was not for Open Borders, he never talked about Open Borders, where criminals of all kinds, shapes, and sizes, can flow into our Country at will… It was the people that knew he was cognitively impaired, and that took over the Autopen… This is TREASON at the Highest Level!… MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

These posts came in the wake of Biden’s health announcement. On May 18, his personal office confirmed that the 82-year-old former president had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones.

The official statement explained: “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

Despite the severity, the statement noted that the cancer appeared hormone-sensitive, making it potentially manageable. It added that Biden and his family were “reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Biden also addressed the diagnosis publicly. On May 19, he posted on X: “Cancer touches us all.” He continued, “We have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”

The contrast between Trump’s initial message of concern and his later inflammatory repost underscores the deep polarization in today’s political climate. As Biden turns his focus to treatment and recovery, Trump’s actions have stirred renewed debate and heightened tension across the political landscape.
