Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘at the heart’ of King Charles’ funeral plans: report

A report states that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are prominently included in the funeral arrangements being prepared for King Charles.

Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been completely detached from the Windsor family in recent times, it appears that the continuing royal feud isn’t affecting the king’s funeral arrangements.

His Majesty has incorporated not just his younger son, 40, and the “Suits” star, 43, “at the center” of his plans, but he has also considered their two children in California, Archie and Lilibet, according to the Telegraph.

Whenever the moment arrives, the 76-year-old monarch has allegedly communicated to officials that the author of “Spare” should assume his proper position at the heart of his family.

Although there are no indications that the king’s rule will not persist for many years ahead, preparations for significant milestones usually begin well in advance.

Palace officials conduct planning sessions with high-ranking members of the police, military, and church to confirm that all arrangements are ready for the significant day ahead.

Regarding the Sussexes, the source indicates that both Harry and Markle are part of the complete plan — from the original announcement to the procession and interment.

Harry is anticipated to stride alongside his brother, who will become king, leading the procession from Westminster Abbey through the streets of London.

The Sussexes will be invited to join the family vigil throughout the lying-in-state time at Westminster Hall.

Additionally, it has been reported that plans have been created for Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, to be present at the funeral service along with their parents.

Although most state funerals — referred to as Operation Menai Bridge for Charles — usually adhere to tradition, every monarch has the ability to implement various modifications to the arrangements.

Insiders suggest that for Charles, the service will highlight his lifelong commitment to the environment and incorporate sustainable features whenever feasible.

It is also reported that the time of royal mourning will be shortened to align with the duration of national mourning.
