People Are Ruthless After 55-Year-Old Jennifer Lopez Simulates Intimate Acts On Stage

Part 1 of 2

Jennifer Lopez is making waves online after a sultry and explicit performance at the Cook Music Fest in Tenerife, Spain, over the weekend of July 18.

The 55-year-old entertainer hit the stage in a daring outfit, dancing provocatively with her backup dancers, leaving fans and critics fiercely divided.

Dressed in a tight white corset, thong, and glittery fishnet stockings, Lopez performed raunchy routines alongside her dancers—also in white corsets.

At one point, she crawled toward her male dancers, mimicked a kiss with one, and pressed herself suggestively against another. Later, she was hoisted onto a dancer’s shoulders, her crotch near his face, and climbed atop another while wrapping herself around two more.

As pink lights illuminated the stage, Lopez’s routine grew increasingly provocative, simulating x-rated moves that sparked online debate.

Online Backlash: “Give it a Rest, Granny”

While some praised Lopez’s energy and boldness, many social media users criticized her for going too far—especially for her age. Comments ranged from, “Grandma thinks she’s 16,” to “Nobody wants to see grandma onstage dirty dancing.” Others compared her to Madonna’s controversial performances or accused her of copying pop stars like Sabrina Carpenter.

One user wrote, “She’s trying to copy Sabrina Carpenter,” while another labeled the show “cheap” and called Lopez out for “seeking attention.”

Language Matters: Fans in Spain Want Spanish

Beyond the provocative visuals, Lopez was also under scrutiny for her lack of Spanish-speaking on stage—especially given her Puerto Rican roots. Fans across Spain noted that during past performances, she barely spoke the language, despite being in Spanish-speaking countries.
