Did Barron Trump give a homeless man a $100 bill?

Barron Trump made a public appearance for the first time in months when his father, Donald Trump, won the presidential election in November. At 18, Barron, who previously lived at the White House during his father’s first term, has now started his studies at New York University’s Stern Business School.

Barron has always preferred staying out of the public eye, with his mother, Melania, protecting him from the media spotlight. However, recent reports about his life have surfaced, including an unverified story in December claiming Barron gave a homeless man $100.

Despite his father’s election win, Barron’s life remains largely unchanged. After graduating from Oxbridge Academy, Barron enrolled at NYU’s Stern Business School, one of the top business schools in the U.S. Donald Trump shared with the Daily Mail that while Barron considered attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, he ultimately chose to stay in New York. Stern’s highly competitive program only admits 1 in 20 applicants. Donald Trump praised the school, noting Barron is thriving in his new academic environment.

Melania “will do everything she can” to support Barron

Donald Trump revealed that Barron plans to continue playing soccer at NYU, as he has always been a passionate soccer fan. While living at the White House, he played for DC United’s youth team.

Barron continues to receive Secret Service protection since leaving the White House, and this security will follow him during his time at NYU. However, the exact nature of the protection has not been disclosed. Unlike his previous time at the White House, Barron will not live there during his father’s second presidential term. Instead, he will reside at Trump Tower, though it’s unclear if Melania Trump will live with him.

Sources tell People that Melania is committed to supporting Barron’s well-being and academic success, but Barron will not experience the typical college life by living in a dorm. A source mentioned that Barron’s political views are already developing, and his situation requires monitoring, which likely explains his more sheltered college experience.

“She tries to normalize his life”

A source shared that Melania Trump believes Barron’s best option is to continue living at home. She feels it’s important to stay close to him, especially during his early days at NYU. Melania is determined to support Barron, whether others think he’s capable of living independently or not.

Her desire to remain close to Barron goes beyond just helping him adjust to college life. According to other sources, Melania is concerned about the negative attention her family receives, particularly towards Barron, who is innocent in the situation. She has been a supportive sounding board for him, helping him navigate life in the spotlight and normalize his experiences.

A Palm Beach source praised Melania’s dedication, saying any child in the global spotlight would be fortunate to have a parent so committed to helping them stay grounded. Another source mentioned that Melania encourages Barron to make friends while being cautious of negativity, especially in college settings, and maintains open communication to keep him mentally healthy.

Did Barron Trump give a homeless man a $100 bill?

Barron Trump, now 18 years old, has garnered attention for his popularity, especially among women, since starting his studies at Stern. According to a source quoted by People Magazine, “He’s at Stern so he’s studying business in some way, he’s a ladies man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies, he’s tall and handsome.” The source added, “A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him.”

Barron’s life, as the youngest son of Donald Trump, has long intrigued the media and the public, likely due to its mysterious nature. This curiosity has only grown in the age of social media, where rumors can easily spread and quickly become perceived truths, often without proper verification.

One story that gained significant attention in mid-December was from the YouTube channel Elite Stories. The channel posted a video with the headline, “Homeless Man asks Barron, ‘Can you give me 1$?’ Trump’s response is SHOCKING,” claiming that Barron had helped a homeless man by giving him a $100 bill.

As of December 23, the video had almost 1 million views. In the footage, a narrator recounts an evening in Cleveland, during which a homeless man named Leonard allegedly asked Barron for $1. Instead, Barron gave him a $100 bill. Additionally, according to the video, the president’s son reportedly wrote down an address where Leonard could receive assistance.

Fact-checking website Snopes shuts down false Barron Trump homeless man rumor

In the YouTube comments section, many users praised Barron Trump for showing kindness by assisting a man in need. However, was it too good to be true? The well-known fact-checking site Snopes investigated the story and found it to be false.

In a December 19 article, Snopes stated that there is no evidence of any interaction between Barron and the homeless individual. The website debunked the claims made in the YouTube video, where the narrator described a meeting between Barron and the man at the intersection of Broad Street and 17th Avenue. But according to Google Maps, these two streets do not even exist.

When Snopes conducted an image search on Google, it led to the discovery that the photo used in the video could be traced back to a 2017 story by the Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky. The man featured in that article was identified as Bryon “Roc” Peeler, not Leonard.

The YouTube channel Elite Stories included a disclaimer in their video description: “The stories presented on this channel are entirely fictional and crafted solely for entertainment.
