IT’S TIME! Catherine and William’s UNEXPECTED Decision for George to Attend £63,000-a-Year School Stuns the UK

Decision Appears to Be Finalised After Months of Speculation

The Prince and Princess of Wales are understood to have chosen Eton College for Prince George’s senior school education beginning in September 2026, according to a well-placed source.

For months, speculation swirled over where the young prince would continue his studies. An insider now says “all roads lead to Eton” following the royal couple’s extensive search.

The 11-year-old prince currently attends Lambrook School in Berkshire alongside Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. By attending Eton, he will mirror the path taken by his father, Prince William.

Eton Versus Marlborough

William and Kate visited several top schools in recent months, with Eton and Marlborough College emerging as frontrunners. Marlborough, where Kate thrived during her own education, was a tempting choice — especially as it could have allowed Princess Charlotte to join her elder brother.

However, Eton’s proximity to the family’s Windsor home appears to have been a decisive factor. Prince William’s personal history at Eton before university is also believed to have weighed heavily in the choice.

The annual fees at Eton exceed £63,000, making it one of Britain’s most expensive schools. Sources close to the institution suggest there is already quiet confidence about securing the future king, though no official announcement has been made.

Other Schools Considered

Kate’s visit to Highgate School in north London just after Christmas had briefly fueled speculation about an alternative choice. The £31,000-a-year school boasts a “world-class” drama department with strong Shakespearean traditions and links to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

During her tour, Kate spent significant time with staff, including the Head of Drama, inquiring about the curriculum and extracurricular acting opportunities.

Acting is a passion that runs in the family — King Charles himself was a keen performer while studying at Cambridge, joining Trinity College’s Dryden Society drama group alongside his academic work.
