A sneaky cat infiltrating a zoo forms an unlikely but unique bond with a lynx

A feline managed to sneak into a zoo and surprisingly struck up an unlikely friendship with a lynx.

Irrespective of the animal species, friendships can form in the most unlikely situations. The St. Petersburg Zoo has a heartwarming story to share, where a European lynx and a common Russian cat have formed an unlikely bond of friendship.

Love Meow reported that the kitty was without a home and by chance stumbled upon some food near the territory of a lynx. To everyone’s surprise, the lynx not only welcomed the cat’s presence but also formed a wonderful bond with them.

According to Love Meow, it appears that the cat and lynx have formed a mutual need for each other. Some suggest that the cat views the lynx as a motherly figure since they became friends when the cat was just a kitten.

After witnessing the heartwarming bond between the two, the Zoo made a decision to officially adopt the cat so that they could continue living together. And to this day, their friendship still thrives.
