A woman set up a photo booth with a bird feeder to capture close-ups of birds feeding, and here are 25 of her best photos

Moving from one country to another requires a lot of effort and can be quite tiring. Luckily for Lisa M. Ke, who moved from Germany to Michigan, she had something to do. Macomb County, Michigan’s diverse bird population was enough to keep homesickness at bay.

The area she moved to has a wide variety of birds, and some of the species she saw included cardinals, red-breasted nuthatches, bluejays, and many others. These different types of birds inspired her to observe, study, and get to know them, so she decided to dedicate Tumblr exclusively to her little friends.

To do this, she needed something that would allow her to get up close and personal without scaring them away. While researching the camera, she found a mechanism called the Bird Photo Booth, a wireless, motion-activated bird feeder that allows the owner to study birds that approach it without causing them to fly away.

She has gained quite a following and has built quite a large community of people who appreciate her work. Below you can take a look at 25 of our favorite picks, but if you want to see more, be sure to visit Lisa’s Tumblr.
