Dr. Phil said in 2018 that the show would be stopping after the 2022-2023 season, following 21 years of success on TV. Despite leaving the daylight spotlight, Dr. Phil still has intriguing career ambitions in mind.

Over the years, Dr. Phil has made a significant impact on daytime television. He has helped tens of thousands of guests and millions of viewers with various issues, including mental health, addiction, and marriage counseling. The show has provided valuable advice and guidance, touching the lives of countless individuals.

Although the show may be ending, CBS Media Ventures has offered the option of airing previously recorded episodes during the 2023-24 season. This means that fans can continue to relive Dr. Phil’s timeless wisdom and guidance, even after the final episode airs.

Looking ahead, Dr. Phil McGraw has exciting plans to expand his reach and influence through a new primetime initiative. In the coming year, he will launch an ambitious program aimed at instilling more purpose and fundamental values in Americans. Dr. Phil is determined to engage people constructively on a larger scale, inspiring them with essential values while providing meaningful entertainment.

During his reflection period, Dr. Phil has been developing plots for scripted projects and hosting two podcasts, “Mystery & Murder: Analysis by Dr. Phil” and “Phil in the Blanks.” These endeavors allow him to delve deeper into important topics and connect with his audience on a more personal level.

Dr. Phil’s future endeavor is intended to have a good impact on those who watch or listen to him. While specifics of the program are still undisclosed, his commitment to assisting others is unwavering.

Dr. Phil’s television career took off when he became a regular guest expert on The Oprah Winfrey Show in the 1990s. His own show debuted in 2002 and has now aired over 4,000 episodes, with over 20,000 guests. Dr. Phil has received a staggering 5 million letters from people who have been moved by his show.

Dr. Phil is currently the second most-watched talk program, with an average of 2 million viewers every episode. This popularity reflects the impact he has had on his audience.

CBS Media Ventures’ Steve LoCascio expressed his excitement at the continuation of their cooperation with Dr. Phil. While the performance may be coming to a close, the collaboration will continue, providing future prospects for cooperation.

The end of Dr. Phil’s show represents a shift in the landscape of daytime talk shows. Along with other iconic programs such as The Wendy Williams Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dr. Oz, and The Real, it marks the end of an era that has entertained audiences for decades.
