Kate and William’s decision to give up ‘live in servants’ sparks major theory

Part 2 of 2
Confusion Over Staffing

Still, the idea of no live-in staff has left some royal fans puzzled.

On Reddit, several questioned whether William and Kate would really manage everyday household duties themselves.

“‘No live-in servants.’ Does that mean she’s scrubbing her own toilets?” one commenter asked. Another added: “Is he mowing the lawns? Do the kids make their own beds? Nobody’s fooled into thinking they don’t have help—they just don’t stay overnight.”

Some speculated that staff will still be available, just not living on the property. “With probably at least one on-call person at night,” one user suggested. Another joked: “Don’t be silly; staff are always on call. They just don’t live onsite—they’re in a place down the road.”

A further remark read: “The staff will live in the evicted tenants’ cottages. Feudalism is 2025.”

Speculation Over Neighbors

This last comment likely refers to claims that neighbors near Windsor were asked to vacate their homes ahead of William and Kate’s move.

A royal insider told the Daily Mail: “They were told to move out. I think they were offered another place, but they weren’t expecting it. Those houses are very close to the lodge, and the royals wouldn’t want just anyone living there.”

Despite these reports, there has been no official word from the Royal Family. After reaching out to Kensington Palace, Tyla confirmed that no eviction notices have been issued.
