How to clean a dirty electric fan without disassembling it

Use a plastic bag to clean the fan effortlessly, the dust will fall off without removing the frame

After a period of use, fans accumulate a lot of dust and need cleaning. If not cleaned, the dust blown out by the wind can be harmful to the user’s health. However, cleaning a fan usually takes a lot of time and effort.

You have to remove the frame, separate the two parts of the cage and the blades to clean each detail, which can be tiresome. But that’s only because you didn’t know the method below. Now that you do, be sure to apply it right away to have a clean fan without the hassle.

Step 1: Mix one tablespoon of detergent in water, stir until dissolved, and pour into a spray bottle.

Step 2: Pour some fabric softener and vinegar into another spray bottle, shake well to mix.

Step 3: Spray the solution from step 2 directly onto the fan blades, and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the vinegar and fabric softener to soften the dust.

Step 4: Cover the fan with a large plastic bag, turn on the fan to blow out the dust. Repeat 2-3 times until the blades are clean. Note: Place a basin underneath to catch the dust or perform this step outdoors.

Step 5: Now clean the frame by spraying the solution from step 1 and using a brush or soft cloth to wipe off the dust easily.

Step 6: Wipe down with a cloth, and the fan will be spotless.

With these 6 simple steps, everyone should clean their fans regularly to ensure durability and, most importantly, to maintain good health.
