Collagen Combo For Glass Skin

Achieving radiant, glass-like skin is easier than ever with this simple, homemade face serum and cream.

These two DIY skincare products work together to brighten your complexion, improve elasticity, and leave your skin looking youthful and luminous.

Why Rice?

The star ingredient in both recipes is rice, which contains gamma-oryzanol, an enzyme known for evening out skin tone and giving the skin a natural glow.

Part 1: Brightening Rice Face Serum

This serum is packed with ingredients that hydrate, calm, and rejuvenate your skin.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp raw rice
  • Aloe vera gel (store-bought for longer shelf life)
  • 9–10 drops glycerin
  • 1 tbsp rose water
  • 3–4 drops sandalwood essential oil
  • 1 tbsp rice water (from soaked rice)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse 1 tbsp of raw rice thoroughly. Soak it in 2 tbsp of water for 15–20 minutes, then strain to collect the rice water.
  2. In a clean bowl, combine ½ tbsp of aloe vera gel, glycerin, rose water, and sandalwood oil.
  3. Add the rice water and mix well. Adjust consistency with more rice water if needed.
  4. Pour the serum into a clean glass dropper bottle.

How to Use:

  • Apply 5–6 drops of the serum to clean skin twice daily—morning and night.
  • In your daytime routine, apply a Vitamin C serum first, followed by the rice serum to boost brightness and protect against skin damage.

  • 2–3 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • A few drops of rose essential oil
  • 2 vitamin E capsules
  • Fresh water

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and soak 4 tbsp of rice in water for at least an hour.
  2. Cook the soaked rice until soft, then strain to extract the nutrient-rich rice bran.
  3. In a glass jar, mix the rice bran with aloe vera gel, rose essential oil, and vitamin E from the capsules.
  4. Stir until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Storage:

  • Keep the cream in the refrigerator and use within 10 days.
