Hudson The gifted 16-year-old actor Joseph Meek, who was most recognized for his part in the highly regarded movie “Baby Driver,” sadly died from injuries he received in a terrible accident.
Meek passed away at UAB Hospital on December 22, less than 48 hours after being flung from a moving car, accompanied by family members, according to a statement from the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

The young actor suffered serious blunt force injuries in the event, which happened in Vestavia Hills in the 1900 block of Canyon Road. According to his obituary, Meek was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School when he was born on August 5, 2008, to Derek and Lani.
He was a well-rounded learner who achieved academic and social success. Meek participated actively in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was a dedicated member of the Vestavia Hills Rebel Football Team, and made contributions to the Student Government Association and Honor Choir.
