Brad wants a second chance at being a dad as he’s considering starting a family with his new girlfriend.

Brad Pitt celebrated a big milestone last month when he turned 60. Though the actor celebrated with his girlfriend Ines De Ramon at his side, there were several important people missing – his children.

According to a new report, the six kids Brad shares with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie opted out of celebrating his birthday.

“They just spent time together and with their mutual friends. Of course, Brad would have loved for each of his six kids to be a part of his B-day week, too,” a source told Life and Style of how Brad spent his birthday with Ines. “But he is dedicated to working on their strained relationships and excited about the future.”

The couple apparently celebrated with “some low-key dinner parties,” before taking a trip to Paris where they saw Asaf Avidan in concert.

Despite the luxurious birthday plans, the source says Brad has been struggling given how strained things are with his children. “It’s been a really difficult time for him,” the source continued. “But he is looking ahead.”

The insider added that Brad is hopeful he can quell tensions with Angelina, who he’s still embroiled in a custody battle with over their youngest kids. A report from earlier this year claimed the Maleficent actress plans to draw out the custody case until the kids are all legal age.

“Their court battle is finally winding down, and extending an olive branch to Angelina is the right thing to do,” the Life and Style source said. “His goal is to have his kids see him and Angie get along. He’s putting their family first.”

That may not be all on Brad’s to-do list for 2024. A previous report claimed the actor is considering having a family with Ines.

“Brad and Ines are smitten with each other and she recently moved into his Los Feliz mansion, proving how serious they are,” a source told Closer Magazine. “He’s known from the outset that Ines wants to become a mum and that’s something they discussed very early on, given their 30-year age gap.”

The source said that Ines is “surprised” by Brad’s “willingness to become a dad again, but he insisted it was something he very much wants too.”

“After everything he’s been through with his children, he’s keen to make a fresh start and create new memories,” they continued. “Brad’s not getting any younger, so it’s something they would like sooner rather than later. He’s even joked about doing the school run in his 70s and hopes that he’ll still be seen as a heartthrob!”

Brad’s relationship with his kid remains a big source of speculation following a leaked Instagram post from a secret account his son Pax had, which called out the actor for being a bad parent in a previous Father’s Day. Moreover, his daughter Zahara made headlines after she seemingly stopped using Brad’s last name when attending college.
