Donald Trump ends Secret Service for Hunter Biden and Ashley Biden

Part 2 of 2

By law, former presidents and their spouses receive lifelong Secret Service protection unless they choose to decline it.

For children of ex-presidents, Secret Service coverage typically ends at 16. However, both Biden and Trump extended security for their children by an extra six months after leaving office. Trump’s latest decision officially brings those extensions to a close.

He also took a jab at Hunter Biden’s recent trip, pointing out that he was vacationing in South Africa—a country Trump has criticized over human rights issues and land policies.

Biden’s Controversial Pardons

Joe Biden issued a sweeping pardon for his son, Hunter Biden, erasing all federal offenses from 2014 to 2024, including tax evasion and illegal gun possession.

Despite earlier promises not to interfere, Biden defended his decision, calling Hunter a political target.

Before leaving office, he also granted preemptive pardons to Fauci, General Mark Milley, and key figures from the January 6 investigation, citing concerns over political persecution.

Trump Rejects Biden’s Pardons as ‘Void’

In a shocking new statement, Trump dismissed several of Biden’s last-minute pardons as “void, vacant, and of no further force or effect.” He specifically raised concerns about pardons granted to members of the January 6 committee, claiming they were improperly authorized using an autopen—a device that automatically replicates signatures.

“Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two-year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
