Harry warned his swipe at Trump is ‘woke distraction’ that won’t impress veterans

Prince Harry’s remarks at the Invictus Games have sparked controversy, with critics accusing him and Meghan of overshadowing the event’s true purpose.

During his speech, Harry spoke about “weak moral character in the world,” which many saw as a veiled jab at Donald Trump. This came after Trump dismissed calls for Harry’s deportation, saying, “He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

Some insiders and volunteers expressed frustration, stating that the Games should focus on veterans rather than royal drama. A senior volunteer claimed Harry’s comments were a “woke distraction” that did not resonate with the military community.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a loving moment at the Invictus Games in Vancouver, just hours after Donald Trump took a swipe at their marriage.

Dressed in a £2,400 ivory maxi trench coat, Meghan, 43, was seen resting her head on Harry’s shoulder and cradling his face as they watched performances by Katy Perry, Chris Martin, and Nelly Furtado.

This affectionate display followed Trump’s remarks dismissing calls for Harry’s deportation, saying, “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

Trump has repeatedly criticized Meghan, calling her “divisive” and claiming “Harry is being led around by his nose.” In response, Harry seemingly addressed the controversy in his speech, praising veterans for their “courage, values, and humanity” in a world full of “weak moral character.”

Prince Harry, founder of the Invictus Games, addressed the crowd at BC Place Stadium, recalling a promise he made to himself: to support his fellow servicemen and women in their healing journey.

Later, Harry and Meghan attended an ice hockey match, where Harry had the honor of dropping the puck for the Vancouver Canucks vs. Toronto Maple Leafs game.

The couple ended the evening dining with singer Michael Bublé at Vij’s, a Michelin-recognized Indian restaurant. Owner Vikram Vij praised their kindness, noting that Harry enjoyed the lamb popsicles.

The next morning, Meghan delighted 40 children of Invictus participants by reading All Are Neighbours, offering words of encouragement. Harry joined in, laughing as he was gifted a pair of Speedos, jokingly told he didn’t need to model them!
