There’s an old saying that the best revenge is living well, and Trevor Engelson, Meghan Markle’s ex-husband, is experiencing that firsthand.
Trevor and Meghan were married for four years, from 2011 to 2014, before she remarried Prince Harry and became one of the most well-known women globally.
Since then, Trevor has moved on and found a new life partner. However, according to a source, Meghan’s name doesn’t come up in his social circles because it still stirs up painful memories of his failed marriage.
Despite that, Trevor has embraced life, the insider emphasized, including raising two children with his current wife, Tracey Kurland, an heiress whom he married in 2019.
To top it off, it seems that Trevor is probably wealthier than Meghan now, thanks to his successful career and his wife’s family fortune.
“Everyone in Trevor‘s life knows not to mention the ‘M’ word,” the insider shared with The Daily Mail.
“He’s moved on and, in some ways, you could say he’s having an even better life than Meghan. He probably has more money than she does now, he’s doing what he loves and he’s out of the spotlight. It’s the ultimate revenge.”
Mr. Engelson’s wealth has significantly increased since marrying his current wife, surpassing even Meghan’s financial standing.
His wife, Tracey Kurland, is a nutritionist, but she also inherited an incredible fortune from her late father, amounting to nine figures.
Her father had built a net worth of US$500 million (A$773 million) through his work in the mortgage industry.
When he passed away in 2021, reports stated that Ms. Kurland inherited US$250 million (A$386 million).
Since his split with Meghan, Mr. Engelson’s own business has flourished as well.
He now runs a management and production company called Underground, based in Beverly Hills, which was behind the hit TV show Snowfall.
The couple also shares two young daughters, adding to Mr. Engelson’s new-found enthusiasm for life.
“When I saw him recently, he kept going on about how he’s the happiest he’s ever been, how he loves being a dad and how he’s never felt more fulfilled,” a source shared.
The same source revealed that Mr. Engelson was “crushed” when his marriage to Meghan ended last decade.
“He’s a good guy but Meghan crushed him when she demanded a divorce,” the insider shared.
“When she got involved with Prince Harry, it was like a second blow to him because the constant media attention around their marriage and the drama from the Oprah interview kept reminding him of her.”
Mr. Engelson and Meghan first met in a Hollywood bar back in 2004 and dated for seven years before tying the knot in 2011.
