How Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson got his ‘revenge’: Inside their rocky marriage and ugly divorce

Part 2 of 2

As she gained independence and success, she became less reliant on Trevor. Their paths simply grew apart.

Separated in 2013

Meghan Markle’s breakup with Trevor Engelson in 2013 was reportedly dramatic. According to author Lady Colin Campbell, Meghan changed after moving to Toronto and began mingling with celebrities like stylist Jessica Mulroney. This shift allegedly created distance between her and Trevor.

“Trevor was laid-back, Meghan was very controlled,” Campbell wrote. “She was always polished, while he was more casual and disorganized.”

After the split, Trevor kept a low profile. He briefly dated Bethenny Frankel from Real Housewives of New York, who later revealed she knew about his past marriage to Meghan.

This is Trevor Engelson today – wife, children

After his split from Meghan, Trevor Engelson worked on a TV show loosely inspired by his life — about a man whose ex-wife marries a British prince. Though the show never aired, the concept raised eyebrows.

Trevor briefly dated Bethenny Frankel, but the relationship didn’t last. In 2019, he married heiress Tracey Kurland, just a year after Meghan married Prince Harry.

Despite Meghan and Harry’s success with Netflix and royal connections, reports suggest Trevor and his new wife may be worth even more.

Tracey Kurland’s father made around $500 million in the mortgage industry. Sadly, he passed away in 2021. At the time, reports suggested that Tracey inherited around $250 million.

Meghan crushed him when she demanded a divorce, friend says

Meghan Markle’s ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, was reportedly heartbroken after their split. A close friend says Trevor was “crushed” when Meghan demanded a divorce — and again when she married Prince Harry.

But now, the friend says, “he’s the happiest he’s ever been.” Trevor has two daughters with his new wife and lives in a wealthy LA neighborhood. He avoids talking about Meghan and prefers life out of the spotlight.

“He’s doing what he loves and probably has more money than she does. It’s the ultimate revenge,” the friend added.
