My Billionaire Father-in-Law Offered Me $12 Million to Divorce His Son After His Assistant Announced She Was Pregnant With Triplet Boys. My Husband Sat Beside Her and Let Me Sign Without Fighting for Me, Never Knowing I Was Pregnant Too—Two Years Later, I Walked Into Their Wedding With Four Children and a Sealed DNA Report. The Moment His Bride Saw the Envelope, Her Face Went Pale

Part 2 of 3

They didn’t want me back.

So I stopped trying.

Three weeks later, I moved to Seattle, where Tessa connected me with a maternal-fetal specialist she trusted.

I rented a quiet house overlooking Lake Washington and disappeared from the Ashfords’ world.

Months later, my children arrived.

Caleb. Mason. Claire. And June.

Two boys and two girls.

Four tiny people who changed everything I thought I knew about love.

The first year was exhausting.

There were nights when I barely slept.

There were four bottles to prepare, four car seats, four bedtime routines, four different cries I slowly learned to recognize.

But there were also four first smiles.

Four little hands reaching for me.

Four voices eventually learning to say “Mama.”

The $12 million Gordon had given me remained mostly untouched.

I invested carefully, bought a comfortable home, and focused on building a peaceful life.

I didn’t need revenge.

I needed stability.

Almost two years passed.

Then Tessa sent me a photograph.

It was an engagement announcement.

Preston Ashford and Sloane Mercer were finally getting married.

The ceremony would take place at the Ashford family’s Long Island estate.

I stared at the photograph for a long time.

Then I looked across my living room.

Four toddlers were building a crooked tower from wooden blocks.

That was when I made a decision.

Preston needed to know.

But this time, I wouldn’t send another letter that could disappear.

Four Children Walked Into Their Father’s Wedding

Before flying east, I arranged independent DNA testing.

The results came back sealed and undeniable.

On the afternoon of Preston’s wedding, a black SUV stopped outside the Ashford estate.

More than three hundred guests had gathered on the lawn.

I stepped out wearing a simple ivory pantsuit.

Then Caleb climbed out.

Mason followed.

Then Claire.

Then June.

Four tiny children walked beside me toward the ceremony.

At first, nobody understood.

Then people began noticing their faces.

Caleb had Preston’s eyes.

Mason had the same serious expression Preston wore when concentrating.

Even Claire’s smile reminded me of Lenora.

The whispers spread quickly.

Lenora saw us first.

The champagne glass in her hand slipped and shattered against the stone terrace.

Preston turned.

His face changed instantly.

“Camille?”

I stopped several feet away.

“Hello, Preston.”

Gordon stepped forward.

“What are you doing here?”

I reached into my handbag and removed a thick white envelope.

“I brought a wedding gift.”

Preston barely looked at the envelope.

He was staring at the children.

“Who are they?”

I introduced them one by one.

“Caleb, Mason, Claire, and June.”

His expression shifted.

He looked at their faces again.

Then at me.

“How old are they?”

I didn’t answer.

He calculated it himself.

His voice dropped.

“Camille… are they mine?”

I held out the envelope.

“Read it.”

His hands trembled as he opened the report.

For several seconds, nobody spoke.

Then Preston lowered the papers.

His eyes were wet.

“They’re mine.”

“Yes.”

He looked toward the children again.

“All four?”

“All four.”

But I wasn’t watching him anymore.

I was watching Sloane.

She had gone completely pale.

And the expression on her face wasn’t simple surprise.

It was fear.

The Bride Was Afraid of a Different Question

The ceremony was postponed while the immediate family moved inside.

Tessa took the children for snacks while Preston, his parents, Sloane, and I entered the library.

Preston’s first question was obvious.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

I opened my handbag again.

“I tried.”

I placed copies of emails, delivery confirmations, and letters on the table.

Preston read them silently.

His expression changed with every page.

“I never received these.”

“I know that now.”

I explained how I had contacted his office and mailed a certified letter.

Gordon frowned.

“Nobody told me about this.”

“Someone knew,” I replied. “Because days after my letter arrived, your legal office contacted me.”

The room became silent.

Then Preston turned toward Sloane.

“Why were you frightened when you saw the DNA results?”

She looked down.

“I wasn’t.”
