Sandra Lee: Saying Goodbye to a Dream Home

Lee’s Malibu home, which she referred to as her “slice of heaven,” was among those destroyed by the wildfires. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared, “I have cherished every moment of creating, decorating, and caring for it, and keeping it safe. […] We are all okay, but the fire is getting closer to my little piece of paradise in Malibu.”

She later shared, “My house is gone—I cried all night, thinking about every room, every corner. It was perfect, and now it’s just ashes.” She reminisced about how much the home meant to her, from the memories it contained to the effort it took to build it.

“Please keep our community, the firefighters, and the first responders in your thoughts and prayers. This isn’t over—not by a long shot,” she requested.

For Paisley, the fires not only took away his former Pacific Palisades home but also devastated a neighborhood filled with cherished memories. On Instagram, he shared, “It was the first house Kim and I purchased together. […] That lovely old house was destroyed in the fire last night, along with much of the surrounding community.”

Paisley opened up about the personal meaning of the area, recalling everything from birthing classes to beloved local spots. “So many wonderful people have been forced out, suffering and scattered across LA. […] It’s all so heartbreaking and sorrowful,” he remarked, acknowledging the tragedy.

Mandy Moore: A Community Uprooted

Moore expressed the heartbreak her family experienced as their home and neighborhood were destroyed. On Instagram, she shared, “Altadena, I love you. I’m thankful that my family and pets made it out last night before it was too late… So many friends and loved ones have lost everything as well.”
