Prince Harry’s ‘betrayal’ over Kate Middleton that Prince William ‘won’t forget’

Kate Middleton Reportedly Staying Quiet as Prince Harry Rift Continues

While tensions remain high between Prince Harry and Prince William, sources suggest that the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has no plans to intervene or rekindle communication with her brother-in-law anytime soon.

According to royal insiders, Prince William has been “deeply hurt” by Harry’s public criticisms and revelations following his departure from royal duties in 2020. This strain reportedly extends to Kate, who once shared a close and light-hearted relationship with Harry but now feels a deep sense of disappointment.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital that Kate’s loyalty lies firmly with her husband. “Catherine has been nothing but supportive of her husband – and that’s exactly why Prince William is so deeply hurt. She always cared for Harry like a younger brother, and now that bond seems broken,” Schofield explained. “What hurts William most isn’t the headlines – it’s how Harry has treated Catherine.”

The breakdown in trust appears to be a decisive factor in Kate’s silence. Despite previous efforts to mediate between the royal brothers, sources suggest she’s chosen to step back entirely from the ongoing family conflict. One insider told Us Weekly that the Prince and Princess of Wales remain baffled by Harry’s continued openness with the media: “They just don’t understand why he won’t stay quiet.”

Commentator Helena Chard echoed this sentiment, noting that while Kate is saddened by the situation, she’s unlikely to take an active role. “She and Harry used to share a light, humorous connection,” Chard said. “It’s unfortunate that she was drawn into such a negative public narrative, especially after trying to keep the peace between the two brothers.”

Still No Meeting Between Kate and Princess Lilibet

Meanwhile, another sign of distance in the royal family is the lack of interaction between Kate and Harry’s daughter, Princess Lilibet. Despite being born in 2021 and turning four earlier this month, Lilibet has reportedly never met her aunt in person.

During a public appearance in 2021, Kate expressed her well-wishes for the child: “I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her.” However, when asked whether she had at least connected over video call, she replied, “No, I haven’t.”

Royal correspondent Danielle Stacey told HELLO! Magazine that while it’s unknown whether a private meeting occurred during Lilibet’s brief UK visit for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, no public confirmation has ever been made. Most details about Harry’s children, including their interactions with extended family, have only been revealed through his memoir Spare.

As of now, it seems the rift within the royal family persists — with little sign of reconciliation on the horizon.
