Each year, Trooping the Colour honors the birthday of the reigning British monarch. The annual parade celebrated King Charles III on June 15, and the event was extra special because both he and Kate Middleton attended after they each announced a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. While fans were thrilled to see them, the royal kids ended up stealing the show.As a refresher, Middleton and Prince William share three children. Prince George, who turns 11 next month, is second in line to the throne. Then there’s Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. And during the 2024 Trooping the Colour, Princess Charlotte made it clear she was having none of her younger brother’s nonsense.
Prince Louis seemingly had a blast dancing on a balcony during Trooping the Colour.
On Saturday, Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis watched the procession from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards together from a balcony. The young royal was spotted dancing to the band’s music as they marched along. And a video of the moment has since gone viral on social media.
Princess Charlotte was not impressed with her brother’s dance moves.
In the clip, Princess Charlotte watched as Prince Louis shook his hips and grooved to the beat. She seemingly said something to her youngest brother in response. And although her words couldn’t be heard, her body language certainly suggested that she told him off.
On social media, royal fans loved the adorable moment.
One X user wrote, “Louis is always is the star of the show,” in response to his carefree dancing during Trooping the Colour.
Another person commented, “Isn’t Prince Louis the greatest. He is rock and rolling to the music. He is a free spirit. Full of life and loving every minute of it.”
Meanwhile, someone else wrote, “Louis honestly reminds me of the cheekiness Harry showed at the same age. Louis is definitely their ‘class clown’. I love it!!”
Princess Charlotte also reminded Louis to stand up straight.
Later, senior members of the royal family gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the 41-gun salute and the Royal Air Force flyover. “God Save The King” played, prompting the royals to stand straight in honor of the nation’s anthem. Prince Louis required a reminder from Princess Charlotte to straighten up, but he got there.
Fans on X praised Princess Charlotte for her sisterly guidance.
On X, royal fans lauded Princess Charlotte for her sisterly reminder “Such a great big sister!” one person declared.
