Princess Kate Just Announced Her Cancer Recovery, and Harry & Meghan’s Next Move Is Already Causing Controversy

Just hours after Princess Kate announced her cancer recovery, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stirred up controversy with the sudden release of their new documentary project on Netflix, drawing significant attention from royal watchers.

Recently, Kensington Palace shared an update video about Princess Kate’s health. In the video, directed by Will Warr, Kate reveals that she has completed her chemotherapy and is now focusing on maintaining her health and enjoying life with her family. The emotional clip captures heartwarming moments with her family of five, along with reflections on hope and love.

However, just hours after this update, another royal couple, Harry and Meghan, grabbed the spotlight when Netflix unexpectedly dropped images from their new documentary project on X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by the caption: “POLO is a new documentary series following world-class athletes, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at this high-speed sport. From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures. Premieres this December.”

This move sparked immediate controversy among royal fans. While some expressed excitement for the Sussexes’ new project, others criticized the timing, calling it an “insensitive spotlight grab” following Princess Kate’s cancer announcement. One user on X commented: “Dropping this right after Princess Kate’s cancer news makes me not only skip this series but also cancel Netflix. Utterly disappointing!”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle began dating in 2016 and held their fairytale wedding in April 2018. The couple, now parents to Archie and Lilibet, have taken on numerous Netflix projects since stepping down from their senior royal roles, including a cooking show hosted by Meghan.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Princess Kate are focused on their children’s new school year and caring for Kate’s health post-cancer treatment.
