Rare moment Kate Middleton came out to defend herself over those Botox rumours

Forget about tiaras and drama—Kate Middleton was once hit with Botox rumors that made Kensington Palace speak out.

Usually, the royals follow Queen Elizabeth II’s rule: “Never complain, never explain.” But this time, the palace stepped in and called the rumors “categorically untrue.”

With nonstop social media gossip, even Kate isn’t immune to wild theories. Still, it’s unusual for the royals to respond like this, which made the moment stand out.

Kate Middleton Botox rumours

In 2019, British plastic surgeon Dr. Muni Somji posted before-and-after photos of Kate Middleton, claiming she had “baby Botox” to smooth forehead lines. He pointed out changes in her brow shape and wrinkle reduction.

The post caused a stir, and although Dr. Somji never confirmed treating her, his claims quickly went viral.

Kensington Palace responded, firmly denying the rumours—something they rarely do.

Kensington Palace Responds

A Kensington Palace spokesperson told the New York Post that the claims were “categorically not true,” adding, “The Royal Family never endorses commercial activity.”

Meanwhile, the clinic declined to confirm whether the Princess was ever a client, citing strict non-disclosure agreements with high-end patients.

They explained that Dr. Somji shared the “before and after” photos simply to demonstrate the subtle anti-aging effects of Botox, especially “baby Botox,” which he personally administers.

The ‘Kate Effect’ Is Evolving — and the Palace Is Changing With It

The “Kate effect” — where anything the Princess of Wales wears instantly sells out — isn’t new, and it’s expected to pass to Princess Charlotte too. But the style spotlight comes at a cost, sparking everything from beauty buzz to Botox rumors.

In March 2025, sources told The Times that the Palace will stop sharing details of Kate’s outfits. The reason? She wants the focus on her causes, not her clothes.

“She wants attention on the people and issues she supports,” the insider said.

Still, style talk or not, Kate remains the image of elegance — and royal restraint.
