Royal fans ‘work out’ what Prince Louis actually said to Kate Middleton at Christmas concert

Royal Family fans think they know the one-word remark Prince Louis made to his mother during last year’s Christmas carol service.

Earlier this month, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, hosted her fourth annual carol service, which was also her first one led independently, at Westminster Abbey.

The collaboration between The Royal Foundation and BBC Studios Events Productions presents debut performances from the Westminster Abbey Choir, Paloma Faith, Gregory Porter, JP Cooper, and Olivia Dean. The event blends traditional and contemporary elements, aiming to resonate with people of all faiths and none.

This year, Richard E Grant steps in for Jim Broadbent to read a passage from a holiday-themed publication. Charles Dickens’s classic A Christmas Carol has been chosen for the Academy Award-nominated actor, which you can listen to when the program airs on ITV tonight (December 24).

In 2023, it was Broadbent’s turn in the spotlight, and during that time, he appeared to win over Prince William and Kate’s youngest son, Prince Louis, as he read from J. R. R. Tolkien’s Letters from Father Christmas.

In a heartwarming moment, the then-five-year-old could be seen brightening up with a smile, eagerly trying to grab his mother’s attention before focusing intently on Broadbent’s reading.

In the touching scene, Louis was also spotted mouthing something to Kate, and royal fans believe they’ve figured out what it is.

“He says Mama,” shared one expert lip-reader, with another adding, “His little ‘mama’,” followed by three crying face emojis.

“He’s so cute, all excited about Santa,” another person commented, according to AberdeenLive.

A different fan chimed in: “I love him so much! My son is only 2 but he has the same kind of energy – it’s so pure, so joyful, we LOVE IT!!!”

Her Royal Highness has dedicated this year’s Royal Carols: Together At Christmas to those in need – “individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive.”

An official press release from ITV revealed that the theme draws inspiration from the Christmas story, which “encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy.”

Kate and her husband, William, will be featured in the broadcast, along with their eldest child, Louis, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte.

Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and Zara and Mike Tindall were also in attendance, according to Tattle.
