Tips and Tricks

So it turns out I’ve been using it the wrong way all this time!

First of all, focus on cleaning the detergent compartment – an essential part of the washing machine. The detergent compartment holds detergent and mixes it with the clothes during the washing process. Yet, after a long period of use, dirt and residue are bound to accumulate in the compartment, which can leave the clothes with an unpleasant odor after washing. Therefore, cleaning the detergent compartment regularly is very important.

It is relatively simple to clean the detergent compartment.

Locate the button in the middle of the detergent drawer and then press it gently to remove it easily. When you clean it, thoroughly wipe every corner of the compartment to make sure no dirt remains. If you haven’t been cleaned it for a long time, you can use a damp cloth or a shoe brush to scrub thoroughly; otherwise, the odor on your clothes will be quite noticeable. After cleaning, reinstall the detergent drawer in its proper position, ensuring it is securely and correctly placed.

Next, I want to share the proper way to do laundry.

A lot of people prefer to pour detergent or laundry powder directly into the washing drum, but this is actually not really good. Instead, put the detergent or powder into the main washing compartment.

In addition, you can also opt to use the pre-wash compartment and the fabric softener compartment when needed. The pre-wash compartment is used for treating particularly dirty clothes, and the washing time can be extended through the pre-set function.

In the meantime, the softener compartment is for adding fabric softeners or color fixatives before the rinsing cycle. When you use these compartments, make sure that the detergent is placed in the correct order and position to fully soak and clean the clothes.

Last but not least, a small but important detail: during the washing process, please don’t open the washing machine door. So, when loading clothes, be cautious to avoid accidentally placing valuable items like mobile phones or electronic devices into the machine. If you do accidentally leave such items in, don’t be worried. Most washing machines have a small emergency button at the bottom, which can be opened by pressing it with a coin. Next, you can easily pull a cord to unlock the door and retrieve your items to prevent loss.
