“They Are Laughable For Sure”: Meghan And Harry Targeted Again In Latest Family Guy Satire

Part 1 of 2

In a fresh jab at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the couple became the latest target of animated satire, this time courtesy of Family Guy.

The royal transplants, now living in California, often face criticism from monarchists—but it’s still relatively rare to see them lampooned on mainstream television.

That changed in the July 17 episode of the show, titled Twain’s World, marking the second time in two years the animated series has taken aim at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The previous instance aired in 2023 and poked fun at their Netflix deal.

This time, Family Guy went as far as to lump Harry’s marriage to Meghan in with some of history’s most notorious events, including the Crusades and World War II.

During the episode, characters Brian (the talking dog) and Stewie (the intellectual baby), both voiced by show creator Seth MacFarlane, embark on a time-traveling adventure. Stewie, acting as the moral compass, warns Brian against doing something that might drastically alter history.

“You always say that, but doesn’t history pretty much suck?” Brian replies.

To illustrate his point, he rattles off a list that includes the Crusades, Hitler—and Prince Harry marrying former Suits actress Meghan Markle.

The show then cuts to a cartoon version of Harry watching this joke unfold on TV. Clearly offended, he says, “Again?” before placing his hands on his hips and adding, “Oh, like all of your wives are so much better?”

This is the second time Family Guy has spotlighted the couple since they stepped down from royal duties in 2020.

A previous episode, A Stache From the Past, which aired on October 22, 2023, also took a swipe.

In that scene, Brian sits in a bar brainstorming how to recover a debt and declares, “I’ll go it alone, just like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.”

The cutaway shows the couple lounging poolside, when a butler walks over and announces, “Sir, your millions from Netflix for no one knows what.”
