Truth revealed as Meghan Markle comes under fire after viewers think they’ve spotted ‘unhygienic’ act during new Netflix cooking show

Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has already divided audiences.

Some fans see it as a warm and comforting watch, while others dismiss it as superficial and unnecessary. But beyond the show’s reception, one strange detail has unexpectedly grabbed the spotlight—leaving viewers both baffled and horrified.

Raw Chicken Legs… Just Sitting There?

Sharp-eyed viewers noticed an unusual sight during a scene where Meghan reaches into a fridge to grab some lettuce. What’s sitting just above the vegetable drawer?

Two rows of neatly arranged, raw chicken drumsticks.

Yes, you read that right—placed directly on a fridge shelf, seemingly without a plate or cover.

One X (formerly Twitter) user, @Lillyin_London, was quick to question the setup, posting: “Why has Meghan Markle [got] raw chicken legs in the fridge next to the salad???”

And just like that, the internet went into a frenzy.

“Hello, Salmonella, My Old Friend”

While some shrugged it off, others were appalled by the apparent food safety blunder.

One person quipped: “Hello salmonella, my old friend.”

Another chimed in: “I believe Chef Gordon Ramsay would call that cross-contamination.”

The criticism didn’t stop there. “Dear sweet Lord that is DISGUSTING! No one does this,” one user exclaimed, while another added: “Not even on a plate! Well, it’s not her kitchen, just a rental for the show… but still, a terrible and unhygienic move for TV.”

Fans Outraged Over Food Safety

For some, this wasn’t just a funny oversight—it was an outright health hazard.

“Why are they not in a tray? Yuk, all the chicken juices would be running all over that fridge shelf & down the back onto products below. Not great hygiene practices,” one person pointed out.

Another criticized the show’s production team: “Who is on her production team? There are people paid to notice details like this. What a faux pas. I’ve been watching cooking shows for decades, and the only time I see raw chicken in the fridge is when it’s still in the package, marinating, and covered in a bowl.”

Someone else didn’t hold back: “Are those raw chicken legs just placed on the glass shelving of the fridge? No plate? No cover? And raw meat should never be placed above vegetables! What a literal shtshow.”

Viewers Were Mistaken—Here’s the Truth

However, not everyone was convinced that this was a food safety fail. Some defended Meghan, arguing that any mistake would fall on the production crew, while others suggested the chicken might not be raw at all.

One person insisted: Everyone’s salad compartment is at the bottom of the fridge. And they are pre-cooked chicken legs.”

Their claim was later confirmed by The Daily Mail, which reported: “It was revealed the chicken legs had been parboiled or partially cooked in water and were placed on a tray.”

So, was this a shocking hygiene blunder or just a misunderstanding? Either way, With Love, Meghan is certainly keeping viewers talking.
