“Who Is She Trying To Convince?”: Royal Fans Upset Over Meghan’s Valentine’s Day Instagram Snap

Part 2 of 2

Royal News Network criticized Meghan for “copying” and feeling “inferior” to the Cambridges.

“I will eat burgers and fries and fish and chips with you forever,” she said

A few others joined in, sharing similar frustration as they tore into Meghan’s caption.

“Oh good grief,” one said, clearly annoyed. “Walmart Wallis’s complete lack of originality and creativity is just pathetic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her post anything that wasn’t a poor imitation of someone else’s work.”

“Plus, she can’t just let the picture speak for itself, she has to add some overly sentimental ‘tribute’ too,” another account scolded.

A third user commented, “I got even more frustrated after Meghan’s Mole pointed out her ‘M’ signature — just like Catherine’s signature.”

“Very fake,” one person remarked. “Nothing about Meghan seems authentic.”

A few people on X compared her long caption to Prince William and Princess Kate’s simple one

It seems the Duchess hasn’t exactly won over everyone, including her own staff. Earlier this month, it was reported that some of her palace workers gave her a rather unflattering nickname based on her supposed behavior.

In The London Times, British journalist Tom Quinn mentioned that Meghan was reportedly called the ‘Duchess of Difficult’ for a time.

“She could be difficult because she was finding life difficult — trying to feel her way and work out the intricacies of a positively medieval, labyrinthine system,” one anonymous staff member appeared to share with him.

She was said to have been confused by the formalities between King Charles III and his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Her behavior towards “the servants” was always changing.

“Meghan, through no fault of her own, wasn’t always great with her staff — she just wasn’t as used to it as Harry was,” a source explained.

“One moment, she’d be super friendly, maybe even overfriendly, hugging staff and trying to befriend them. Then, in the next moment, she’d get irritated because they wouldn’t respond instantly, no matter the time of day or night.”

For many, Harry and Meghan came across as “forced” and not genuine.
